AHR News and Events

Hi there!  I’m Willie Will Tell, your AHR Star reporter and I’ll be bringing you reports on all the fun and happenings in the arena and at the ranch from week to week.

Sunday, June 29th Our team went to the local show at Four T yesterday and braved the heat for the English classes. They did AHR proud. This was Maddy’s first show on her new horse and it was obvious that the pair has a fine future.

Tuesday, June 17th Performances at the Mila Show June 14th added more ribbons to the collection of our show team. We thank Trisha for pictures that tell it all!

Tuesday, June 3rd. Our Show Team made their presence known at the APHA Arden Show this past weekend. Michelle and Louie were High Point 14 -18 youth and High Point Open. Julie and Pepper won their first Paint classes placing 1st under 2 judges. Becky and Leggs were Reserve High Point Novice Amateur.  Kay and Kristie won their share of ribbons.  It was a great weekend.! We have next week off then off to TTC and Mila Open Shows.

One Enchanted Zipper has had a very good start in her show career winning the youth mares class in SC at the previous show, placing 4th out of 10 in Novice Hunter Under Saddle. All our riders are doing well and make AHR proud as always. Look for our Arden and Mila Farms results in the coming weeks!

Sunday, May 4th  There were lots of smiles at the end of the TTC show when the Western Trail classes were finishing up. In addition to having fun, those ribbons will be hanging on the walls of those who attended.  We’re always proud of our team and their first Pinto showing was a big success. Enjoy the smiles in these pictures!

Ever wonder how showing originated and evolved? Well, we did! Enjoy this article published several years ago on the site known then as the American Association of Horse Shows. Today that organization is known as the United States Equestrian Federation
